Meet your Tides of life doula and perinatal bereavement specialist

Ashley Inclima

Hello and welcome!

I created Tides of Life Doula & Perinatal Bereavement Services LLC as the answer to a calling within my soul. Through my difficult journey to parenthood, I found the most support in community with others who also lost children. There are many complexities and every person's experience is unique, but I learned the common necessity is compassionate support.

Grief is a journey that truly never ends. It ebbs and flows, constantly changing over time, but never leaving you completely. We hold great love and deep sorrow simultaneously, always uncertain when one emotion may swell and overtake the others. It has been my honor to walk alongside others experiencing pregnancy loss, and I do not take for granted how special it is to witness such raw vulnerability and love. I believe my son Adrian gifted me with the capacity to hold space for others on their unique journeys, and his love flows through me outward in this work.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I find the greatest joy in raising my daughters and witnessing their growth and development. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new places, playing volleyball, kayaking, dancing, reading, and any time spent with my family and loved ones!

Birth/Bereavement Doula and perinatal loss services

My Passion + Purpose is supporting YOU

Doulas provide physical, emotional, and evidence-based support to pregnant, birthing, and postpartum people. Research shows doulas are improving mental and physical outcomes for birthing people, and I believe this support is instrumental when navigating pregnancy loss and pregnancy after loss. The stigma around pregnancy loss is deep rooted, and people deserve compassionate care including honest, detailed explanation regarding options, support resources, memory making opportunities, mementos, and follow up after discharge. Doulas can advocate and provide this level of care, while creating a safe space for a person's grief, along with traditional doula services. Pregnancy after loss often brings complicated emotions and triggers, making a doula's role in advocacy and support even more crucial.

I am honored to work with families, doulas, and medical providers to increase the amount of compassionate bereavement support available for those in need!

Testimonial

"My husband and I have been experiencing recurrent pregnancy loss. Fortunately, in the midst of these losses I was lucky enough to get connected with Ashley. During this incredibly isolating and trying time, Ashley was someone I could depend on. She listened to my story and supported me through one of the darkest times of my life. She encouraged me to advocate for myself and inspired me to find avenues to heal. I truly believe that my journey would have been much harder to navigate without her. I am forever grateful for the empathy and guidance I received. In a time in my life where I felt so invisible, Ashley made me feel valued and seen." ~Kaitlyn
